Lisa Gay is a Family Nurse Practitioner at St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. She graduated Summa cum Laude at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) at Richomnd, Virginia where she took up B.S. Nursing. She then took her Master’s Degree in Nursing specializing in Family Health at her alma mater.

In December 2006, Lisa received the Mabel E. Montgomery Award in recognition of her excellence in clinical practice while studying at Virginia Commonwealth University. By 2007 she began working as a registered nurse at VCU Health System until July of 2008. Afterwards, she volunteered to work at the Olde Towne Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA as a Family Nurse Practitioner. While rendering volunteer work, she served as a Family Nurse Practitioner at MinuteClinic, a division of CVS Caremark Corporation, the largest pharmacy health care provider in the United States.

It was during her work here that she became a Paragon Nominee for MinuteClinic’s Richmond Market. This national award is based on clinical quality, customer service, professionalism, and maintenance of high quality clinic environment.

In April 2010, Lisa left both her regular and volunteer work in Virginia and move all the way to the island of St. Croix in US Virgin Islands. Here, she worked at Neurology Consultation as Family Nurse Practitioner.  Here, she trained with an experienced neurologist to assist in evaluation and treatment of uncomplicated neurology patients and created and implemented a plan of care for them. By September of the same year, she was working in Northside Medical, formerly DeGraft-Johnson Medical Associates.  In a short amount of time, she was able to do both medical and administrative work. She performed assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and follow-up for patients of all ages with acute and chronic illnesses. From July to November 2011, she became the sole care provided at DJMA, seeing patients and overseeing the daily administrative needs of general practice and a staff of four.

Currently, she works with Dr.Guy Garman, a respected Ear, Nose and Throat specialist in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands.
